I am having issues with the Flipgrid iPad, iPhone, or Android apps...

Make sure that your device is running on the latest iOS or Android operating system. Also, make sure that your device automatically updates apps when available and that you are on the latest Flipgrid iOS or Androi app release. Then try again!

Available on the app store Available on Google play

My video response is not submitting...

If you recorded on a desktop computer, please try the following:

  • Update to the latest version of your browser of choice. We recommend using Chrome.
  • Some browsers require Flash Player, which will also need to be updated.
  • If you are still having problems, force quit the browser and try again(Command + Q on Mac, Control + Q on Windows).

If you recorded on the Flipgrid mobile apps, make sure you have the latest version for iOS or Android.

I haven’t received my Flipgrid Admin activation email...

Start by checking that pesky spam folder. We’ve experienced school email systems blocking the activation email. Please share this firewall info document with your school's IT department and ask them to whitelist the domain to ensure delivery of emails. You can also use a personal email address to get started.

What is a grid code? How can I access my grid?

First, ask your grid administrator (e.g., your teacher) for your grid code. A grid code is used to create a private Flipgrid URL. By default, grid codes are a random combination of letters and numbers (e.g. abcd1234) but can be customized (e.g., voice). Access to the grid can be accomplished by:

  • Sharing the private Flipgrid URL (e.g., Grids can also be embedded into any LMS or webpage using the share button in the Flipgrid Admin.
  • Entering the Grid Code at or the free Flipgrid apps.

How can I remove a video that I shared in a grid?

If you entered your email in the final step before submitting your video, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to *deactivate that specific response video. Otherwise, you will have to contact the grid administrator (e.g., your teacher) to deactivate a video response.

* The response is still accessible to the grid owner. They have the ability to reactivate the video if they choose.

What are some tips for integrating Flipgrid into my K12 or Higher Ed course?
